Frequently Asked Questions
Do you shoot in the rain?
We live in a rainforest! Yes, my equipment and I don't mind a good rainy shower every now and then. Rain adds drama and emotion to every scene, no matter the subject. And for my couples, who doesn't want a notebook inspired kissing-in-the-rain shoot?
What should I / we wear?
The most important thing is that you're comfortable. Yes, you want to look nice, but if you're uncomfortable because something is fitting tightly, your discomfort will be visible in your photos.
I go further in depth about this below, in resources.
I can also help you plan your outfit when we chat if you'd like!
When / how will we get our photos?
All sessions will be delivered through an Online Gallery where you'll be able to select your final images and then download them. For prints and albums, we can discuss the best option for pickup / delivery for you.
For regular sessions, images will be delivered in 2 weeks.
For weddings, images will be delivered in 4-8 weeks. You'll receive some sneak-peeks the week after your special day.
Why is photography so expensive?
A photographer may spend only an hour taking your photos, but then an additional 2 weeks editing them - (sometimes 2 months for large, long weddings!!) That's hours and hours of work.
However, photography is one of those things worth investing in. Nothing beats a beautiful image of those who mean everything to you - especially when they have passed.
What happens if you're sick/injured and can't photograph me?
For regular sessions, we will reschedule the shoot and I will throw in an 8x10 (or smaller) print for you.
For weddings, one of my backup photographers (that shoot similarly to my style) will take over for your wedding day. After they have shot your wedding, I will be the one to edit all of your images so they still reflect my personal editing style.
What if I need to reschedule?
There will be an additional fee of $50 for rescheduling sessions if done within 7 days before the session.
Where are you based & DO you travel?
I'm based in Vancouver (Surrey / Langley), BC.
I will happily travel wherever you need me!
How do i order prints or an album?
Message me! I will send you my detailed product list. Every session comes with a printing credit of a specific amount that you can use towards these products.
How can I see your pricing?
Send me a message! Let me know what you're looking for and I'll send you my rates.

What are some good location ideas?
It truly all depends on what vibe and feeling you're going for. These are some generic categories I would recommend:
- hike / trail / park
- beach / lake / river
- barn / farm
- at home
- garden
- drive-in diner / picnic
- downtown / city
- somewhere important to you!
I want a theme for my shoot
Having a themed shoot is always a lot of fun and makes the experience even more unique to you. Here are some ideas:
- retro / vintage
- glamour
- colour themed
- inspired by...
- getting creative with paint or mixed mediums
- seasonal (birthday, Halloween, Valentines, Christmas, etc)
- specific outfits / props
- night / date night
What do I wear?
I would suggest wearing solid colours since patterns draw attention away from your face. Likewise, avoid logos and graphics. When picking colours, know that keeping it quite neutral is a good idea, unless of course you're all about colour (it's completely up to you!). If you would like to appear slimmer on camera, dark colours usually give you that effect. For my ladies, dresses are always fun because they either show your feminine figure or flow around to create another layer of interest in the image. Either way, dresses are an easy win. Couples! You don't need to match your outfits, but coordinating is a great idea. And again, to reiterate, wear what makes you feel confident and most-importantly, be comfortable. All-in-all, keep your outfit simple and don't stress too much about it.
